As the question arised in the forums. Vote for the 1.87 change in regards to Autotrain. In my opinion theres sense behind these changes and there would be no balance issues. Please vote.

AUTOTRAINING CHANGES

The current autotraining system has been revised. It will no longer punish players who spend points early in their careers.

- Characters will no longer auto train skills as they gain levels.

- When training a skill that would normally have autotrained, a player will not be charged points up to their character level’s maximum autotrained skill level. Example: An Armsman who has zero slash at level 50 will not be charged for their first 12 points. After 12, they will be charged points normally for that skill.

- If you have a higher skill than what would be awarded to you by autotraining at that level, the points that would have been awarded are refunded to your skill point pool. Example: If you have 40 slash, and you hit a level 48, you normally would have been autotrained to 12 slash. Since you have a higher slash than 12, those 12 points are refunded to your pool.

- The skill points will be consistent if you train through a trainer or use a respec.

Yes it would be like the new system was in right from the start.

It would be nice if the 'no'-voters would comment on that here, so we see opinions against the new AT instead just the obviously good reasons for it.

It looks like a convenience change to me to lessen player frustration so I agree that there do not seem to be any balance issues with it.

On that note, maybe there should be a forced respec to insure compliance with the new system? I recall there were a numbr of pretty nasty skill training bugs around before. If such a respec occurs, i would hope that everyone is granted this (for all characters level 2 and up).

Actually I voted for no due to the circumstance that I understand players who
probably have AT'ed their chars. However, the aspect of lessen the rate of
frustration is indeed a reasonable argument. (and no, I haven't got an AT'ed
playerchar^^).

Leveling with new autotrain system is far too easy for many classes and as a 1.87 change with new abilities and such staff the autotrain system would just be an easy to lvl mode. So i voted no.

zone bonus in bgs and agramon like in df. 10 times more xp from enemy players is quite nice, but those who often loose dont profit from it. An xp bonus in general in the bgs will make leveling more easy but the risk of getting killed is there anyway but you must not make rvr at any rate to increase lvl xp.

Vote for "yes" cause it makes char creation easy. At the same time i vote "no" if old players wouldnt get any profits from this change. I would advise everyone to lvl thrust reaver to 48 and then think if it's fair^^. Still if old players with autotrain gain some sort of bonus with this change i'm for it.

Well i have some characters that used Autotrain. My Infi, Scout and Reaver for example. And still I voted yes. Honestly it was not that hard to level them, if you know how at works (even a sara reaver levels quite well with crush). With my Infi I specced and respecced stealth for the bgs. But why any compensation for the respeccs? If you dont have fun playing your at chars, you should not play at all. And if you had fun, that should be enough compensation as you can play here for free. Again: Even when you used at in the past, you dont lose anything with the new system. Yes you might had it a bit harder to level, but it was your choice.
See this example. I leveled my sorc back then when the resist rate was broken, there were no pets to charm, most of the drops not in, no sc to help, no ras, no bgs to grab some RR. I bet every sorc will level today a lot easier. But wouldn't you find it a bit strange if I would ask for some compensation for that it is way better now? I had fun back then, why should i care if its more confortable to level up now? Uthgard has and always will evolve.
So yes I vote yes, as the 1.87 AT system will fix a lot problem which were mostly introduced with being able to respecc and lose points that way.
