Alchemy: weapon tinctures fail after the recipe turns grey

After the recipes for all weapon tinctures turn grey they still have a chance of failing.

I thought this may be due to the recipe having the incorrect assigned colour (so it is still green but my alchemist is 1097 now and these (very) grey recipes are still failing.

Realm: hib

How to repeat this bug? Roll an LGM alchemist to 1050+ and make any weapon tincture a few times to get a failure.

Why is this a bug? No other grey alchemy recipes have a chance to fail

than its a bug that the other grey items can't fail^^

many items that are grey will fail (weaponcraft armorcraft and so on)

Are u sure this fail are live like ? I don't remember of any fail on grey items on live. I had all legendary crafters, but it was post 1.69, don't know if this has changed.
It was an obvious mistake to have pots with one charge only, while nererid have 20 charges.
It was an obvious mistake to have no craftable +all melee / +all magic / all focus, while it exists on loots.
It was an obvious mistake to offer no solution to play in the most remote zones in a reasonable time.

For all this mistakes, something was done... after 1.69 on live
And something was undone on Uthgard to get back all of this crap -_-

Haven't had a grey fail since about a week after this post was made.

I've seen grey recipes in Tailoring fail too. 8)

Cant find it atm, but if I am not remembering totally wrong there always was a minimum chance of failiure at even the lowest Item.

Haven´t played Live since Beta though, but this was discussed some years ago here too, and I am 99% sure that was the statement that times, so I think its intended to be.

I have had grey fails in Tailoring over the weekend too, so I'm not sure why you think anything has changed.

i think the point is that if u have +50 points it turns grey, but on uthgard u need +100 points to have no fail on the item....

but it should be no fail if the item gets grey (at +50 points skill)
