1. Install Dark Age of CamelotNote: If you already have a DAoC game client installed, you can skip this part. Please note that old installations from CDs don't work. Note: It is recommended that you install the game in English. Some features (like replying to messages or the stealther's climbing) depend on the game's language. Download the installer. Follow the instructions given by the installer. After you have finished the setup, go to the installation directory and execute the camelot.exe. It will download and patch your game. This will take some time as the complete game client has a size of around 4,5gb.
2. Install .NET 3.5Make sure .NET 3.5 is installed.
3. Install DAoC PortalDAoC Portal allows you to connect to free DAoC servers that are not hosted by EA/Mythic. Follow the instructions given by the installer. On your desktop appears an icon for DAoCPortal. Start it. Open the File menu and click on Settings. Click on the Browse button under DAoC Installation and select the directory where you have installed the game to.
4. Downgrade DAoC to version 1.109Skip this step. Uthgard now supports 1.113. Currently Uthgard does not offer connectivity for newer 1.110+ clients. Please google for "daoc 1.109 game.dll", download it and overwrite the existing game.dll in your DAoC folder (in this example C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot ).
5. ConnectYou are ready to start! Start DAoCPortal, choose Uthgard, enter an accountname of your choice and a (safe!!) password. Your account will be created automatically. Press Play! If you get "Your Password is Incorrect! " on your first attempt then this accountname is already taken. Try another one.
