Warrior leveling with auto train

Heya nerds,
I am leveling a warrior and I let hammer autotrain. I am lvl 34 atm and I know there is a respec at 40. I spent my points in sword shield and parry. I did some math and at 40 I will be 40 shield, 30+ sword and rest parry. With the respec I can remove points in sword and then spend them elsewhere. I have a couple of possibilities because hammer at 40 will have autotrain 10 pts 1. I can then spend all my old sword points in hammer and at 50 => 50 shield, 50 hammer and 30 parry. 2. I use my autotrain axe (also 10 pts) because of taunt with 6 pts (plague). I think I will have a hard time hitting mobs with so few points in skill and dmg will be tiny. At 44, hammer will get a new points and then I spend all my points in hammer. At 50=> 50 shield, 50 hammer and 31 parry. Finally ,there is only 1 parry point if I keep my points from 40 to 44. Do you guys think it's worth the pain to suck in dmg/hit during 4 lvls? or is there another option? Thanks for help! Brimuk |

if you autotrain to 48 I think it will be only 1 Parry, which is actually unlocked at 44 as you said.
isn't 1 parry like 0,5%? whoop-de-faking-doo. Unless you have a guild/friends group boosting you to 44, it's not worth. Is it even possible to hold aggro with a skill 6 taunt? I have big doubts about it, your party members would be thinking why aren't u doing your job. |

I couldn't be bothered with auto-train, you're just hamstringing yourself for not much gain.
I am just training Hammer and enjoying it! | Runemaster |

I think this topic was discussed several times here. You won't get any more points, when you respec. If you want to benefit from autotrain with warrior you must not skill in any melee-weapon-line. No hammer, no sword, no axe... Leveling with sword/axe and respeccing to hammer at lvl 40 or 50 don't give you anything...

QFT I think the only way to get all the points is train only shields and parry (don't think that throwing weapons increase damage with higher spec?) It's the thrill of the chase
and I'm coming after you. |

I did not train Throwing Weapons

This is wrong. If you spec Axe from level 1 to level 40, you will autotrain hammer + sword from level 1 to level 40 (and thus have 10 in hammer and 10 in sword at level 40). On the other hand, you don't get any autotrain with respec, ie if you train Axe and respec at 20 and/or 40 it won't trigger the autotrain. The autotrain is as simple as that : Every 4 level, it checks if you have level/4 in hammer/sword/axe. If you don't, it'll grant you a +1 in that spec. The only thing to know is that training + respec doesnt grant you the autotrain. |

This ! Ps: my warrior do at till level 12 with full shied+parry now 50 i gain 1 pt more in parry so i'm 50 50 29 instead of 50 50 28 if i want to respec with a stone i'll loose that extra point ! If ever i had put any pt in any melee spec and rspec at 20 40 i'll loose at point too that's all <img src="http://metty.the-bart.org/other/daoc/sig.php?name=gavanna&s=15">

That is not wrong. If you spec axe from level 1 to 40, you get extra points for sword and hammer. BUT, AT lines won't go down to level 1 when you respec. So you can't use those extra points elsewhere. For your example; you end up with 10 sword, 10 hammer, 10 axe when you respec at 40. Extra points you get from hammer, goes to axe line. |
|
1. You will have 50 hammer / 50 shield / 12 sword / 12 axe and 28 parry (not 30) 2. If you respec at 40, not train any weapon line till 44; you will get 11x3=33 more extra points. And you will have 30 parry, not 31. |

Maybe we don't speak about the same thing : Say I'm warrior level 5 and want to be hammer + sword spec at lvl 50 (50 sword, 42 shield and 4X hammer for ex). The best way to earn the most of autotrain points is to spec Axe+Shield from level 1 to level 40. Respec Axe at level 40, and spec Sword instead. At level 48+ you can now put some points in hammer. => Free spec 10 in sword, 12 in hammer (since I'll spec hammer AND sword I'm saving 131 points this way) => Instead of having 50sword 42shield 39 hammer you'll have 42 hammer. Thus, saying that you should autotrain ALL 3 melee spec to benefit from AT points is wrong. |
|
Not wrong if you want to benefit ALL AT . I finally understand what you mean . You just benefit from 40 to 48 AT level ..... And the probleme with you way is for very specifical template that maybe 5% of the relam use but ok ....

That free spec 10 in sword will go to axe, because all tree lines will be level 10 when you respec at 40. Your final spec will be 50 sword, 42 shield, 41 hammer (42 is imposible), 12 axe and 20 points left. Feel free to try. |
