No this is not correct and is another bug you should be able to cast either charm at any spec... as long as you specced enough for 2 charms.

It is sad one of the weakest classes gets a nerf, yet the spell line is bugged and now can not charm pets that it should be able to. /cry

It's not a nerf its just another bug.

I still have the question: Are there any hunter-charmable mobs with abilities in OF? As I didn't find any yet.
charmable: insect, animal, maxlvl 41

well, in Emain you wont find much mobs with abilities. And insects/animals with skills ... only know 2, and both to highlvl.

the only pet which is worth to get charmed by a hunter is this arachnite priest, i checked some bestiary sites and just found 2 nice pets, 1 is to highlvl and the other one is to lowlvl(15 arach priest)

all in all the hunter charmability is more useless as moc on a skald :)

MOC on skald is IMBA - it will cast your instas BACK IN TIME. :D

There's a vampiric spider within charm level range that resides somewhere in alb frontiers, Idk if it procs a DoT or DD, but vampiric in the name is awfully tempting.
