Backwoods Marodors (lvl 39) mobs at entrance of Malmohus in Mid will drop coin, a variety of jewels/gems and one other item -- the Brilliant Bandit King Crown, leather helm item. Nothing else. I am pretty certain they should also occasionally drop other pieces of leather armor and something called the Marodor Gem. I've soloed hundreds of these critters and walked away with more than sixty Bandit Crowns but nothing else. Also, btw, it seems as if the drop rate on those Crowns may be a little high, as if the drop rate percentage for other items like the Ageless Luminary Pants (2% chance -- but it doesn't drop at all) is correct but then only the Bandit King Crown drops (which should only be a 0.6% chance).
1. kill 100 lvl 39 backwoods marodors at entrance to Malmohus in Mid
2. assess the drops -- anything other than coin, jewels and Crowns?
3. sell the Crowns for 5g apiece :)
Determine which items the backwoods marodors ought to drop and check the drop rate percentages for each. The drop rate for the Brilliant Bandit King Crowns seems higher than it ought to be and it's "masking" anything else besides coin and gems/jewels from dropped. According to my Prima Guide there should also be Ageless Luminary Cap/Pants/Vest, Rune Bone Staff, Spirit Bone Staff and Marodor Gems (2% chance for all of those). The Bandit King Crown is supposed to have 0.6% chance of dropping but it's behaving more like 2% -- and nothing else drops.
Evidence is the hundreds of backwoods marodors I've solo killed, the more than 60 - 70 Brilliant Bandit King Crowns I've received as drops and the total lack of any other drop items apart from coin and regular gems/jewels. Absolutely no other stat-bearing item with cap letters has dropped from these maradors apart from the Bandit King Crown.
