Various Ire Fairies that were introduced to the game as part of the New Player Quests in Patch 1.72 can be found in Camelot Hills.

2. If the mob is a quest step in any of the quests given by this dude: http://camelot.allakhazam.com/db/search.html?cmob=8386 then it didnt exist prior to 1.72 to my memory.

Which reinforces that I am thinking of the right quests and period of DAOC if nothing else.
