Traditionally a new player made weapon has several points above 100% durability. You can usually repair the items multiple times before the item drops below 100% durability. I bought a 100% arcanium exceptional long sword for my minstrel. He is a 1021 Fletcher and a 1017 metal worker. He was able to repair the sword on the first try. I repaired the sword when it was at 97% condition. When I looked again the sword was at 96% durability for a 3 % condition change. There is no way the durability should have dropped below 100% on a first repair with my skill level.
1. constrict a 100% level 51 arcanium exceptional long sword
2. Allow the condition to degrade to 97% and then repair the item with metal skills well high enough to repair.
3. Note the immediate durability drop.
Restore the standard durability to the player made sword. No way should it degrade that fast.
Both on live and Uthgard 1 all player made weapons have withstood several repairs before having the durability drop below 100%.
