I killed a lvl 35 Hillock Changeling in Breifine. It dropped a pair of lvl 15 cloth gloves. These gloves are essentially useless for anyone hunting these creatures.
1. Go to Breifine
2. Kill Hillock Changeling. Kill more. Kill some more.
3. When Sturdy Gloves drop, they will be level 15. You will be level 36. Have a nice day.
Check the drop tables of Hillock Changeling, give them real loot. Also, check the drop rate for random drops off humanoids in the frontier. I have been killing them for 14 levels. I think the drop rate is less than 1%. I know historically it was pretty low, but definitely higher than this. One could expect to get several random drops per level. I have gotten 3.
I don't have any quantifiable evidence. You know what it was like, though you may not know what your frontiers are like.
