There are a number of things to list and I personally think they are all related directly.
My main concern is WHEN the pet decides to cast. When the player would go under the 50% HP threshold, the pet would ALWAYS stop what it was doing, and begin casting a heal for the enchanter, or other player in the group. This should be and always had been something that was never uninterruptible unless you stun/mezz/amnesia the pet itself to prevent the completion of the spell. The reason this is major, is this. Pets are currently suffering from interruption. I have NEVER remembered this as an issue for the ally pet. EVER. So when I am pet pulling a mob, and my pet wants to heal, on defensive, It simply ignores it. It DOES NOT HEAL. Wrong. Now, if the pet is on passive, it stops, casts, gets interrupted, moves a short distance closer to you (as a pet on passive should do) attempts to cast the heal again... rinse repeat. A heal spell never completes. Wrong.
Another issue with ally pet casting. If you are in a group, and the group is not in the same location, and the pet wishes to cast the heal over time buff it casts on everyone in the group, IT RUNS TOWARDS THAT PLAYER. Even pulling mobs. IT IGNORES ALL COMMANDS(this wiped my group when the druid joined late in CM, and the pet pulled 15 mobs to run to the druid to cast this very spell and we died. I was so ****** off I logged.) It will run a VERY LONG DISTANCE to get in range of that player, to cast the buff. WRONG. The ally pet should ignore potential targets outside of its casting range, and targets out of LOS, and should NEVER move to cast the heal over time buff. Also should be allowed to cast this spell when being hit in a pet pull situation without being chain interrupted.
1. Use pet that can cast a spell
2. Watch pet not cast spells due to incorrect interruption coding.
3. Fix.
1. Have group member very far away
2. Have group member come closer until pet leaves your side
3. Watch pet ignore all enviromental issues and run to cast buff.
4. Die from aggro.
5. Fix.
The ally casting should not be interruptable, should be capable of doing at any aggro state (passive/defensive) and should disengage combat to cast the heal.
And
The ally pet should ignore potential targets outside of its casting range, and targets out of LOS, and should NEVER move to cast the heal over time buff. Also should be allowed to cast this spell when being hit in a pet pull situation without being chain interrupted.
Requesting community input for this. I attempted to discuss with one of the devs, and they said to post it here for community viewing. I cant find valid information, but these are substantial issues.
