i do not know if it will be an issue while creating a character ingame, however after adding the "same" email twice, the reserved names will have all the chars bound to that email added twice.
1. Goto the website.
2. Login to the account and goto manage account.
3. Go to the part "Reserved Character Names".
4. Add your email i.e. "admin@uthard.net" and click on the mailed activation link.
5. add the same email. but with a slightly different formatting, i.e. "AdMiN@uthgard.net" and click on the mailed activation link.
i suggest normalizing the emails and compare them to the allready known emails(also normalized) and prompt that this email has allready been added.
As i do not know in what way this impacts the actual creation of reserved name characters, I do not know. however by slightly changing the formating of an email adress every time. one can basically add as many of the same email address to the account as there are ways to slightly change the formatting.
as for an overview of the benefits of database normalization(at least regarding this case).
