There are many steps missing from the Lord Of Deceit Epic Questline (Guild of Shadows). After the Step to kill the isolationist courier(lvl 45 epic), it jumps straight to step # 22 which is the last stage of the lvl 50 epic to kill Lord Elidyn. The steps in between are completely missed, as well as missing the very useful reward for completing the lvl 45 portion of the quest (Cloak of the shadowy embers for merc)
1. Get the lvl 45 portion of the Lord of Deceit epicline
2. Complete the step to kill the isolationist courier in Pennine Mountains
3. Go back to Captain Rhodri
4. Quest now jumps to step #22 to kill Lord Elidyn
The missing steps need to be implemented , the next step should have been to kill Belgrik a named ravenclan giant and then receive a reward. The steps for lvl 48 and lvl 50 leading up to the final step are also missing.
It is fairly apparent that the quest simply skips as Captain Rhodri talks as if you are intimate with the knowledge of Lord Elidyn, when he has never mentioned them before it also skips the step numbers and goes straight to step # 22
