after a long check on 2828 issue, i finally finished the quest and got the following results @lvl 50 :

2. take fallen emperor quest in caer ulfwych from Grindan Halig
3. check reward
XP reward should be capped at 110,688,344 exp from level 42 (stated by 42 and 44 => same reward, lvl 41 got 105.995.780, lvl 37: 60,878,593)
there should be no coin reward
or none is mentionned on both sources i found that usually mention them
that would correspond to the phrase given by the NPC
"I have little to repay you with save my thanks and the promise that I shall tell your entire story."
XP reward should be given by Iohannes Aldar not the other one
4 capes given ok on number and names (stats are a little off but i will make different posts for each of them)
in game screenshots (btw there is the new quest interface at beginning and at end : dunno if it is willingfully done)

second source gives the quest for 1.69 but it is clearly stated on the first one that the quest is up on 1.54 (and found traces of it in 2003 on the wayback machine)
