I've only fallen off the horse on a Kobold, I've made a Norseman, Troll, Valkyn and not had this issue, but for some reason my Kobold Bonedancer always falls off the horse, it's not even worth that form of transportation I just end up wasting my hard earned silver. P.S - Being forced dismounted makes you invincible, allows you to cast on people and not be hit at all.
1. Make each race buy a ticket and try travel to another town.
2. Once you've dismounted try enter combat with anything.
3. You'll notice that the monster CAN'T hit you, this is a bug.
I am not entirely sure, but it's kicking me off for a reason, one that I have no clue what is. But maybe try replicate it and do what you can.
It's happened to me personally. I fell off the horse and went to enter combat and nobody could hit me, but i was free to cast spells on anything.
