I click "Play!" button at the top of the Uthgard.org site in order to launch the game. The Uthgard text-overlay appears on my screen but then the Loading splash page never starts. Instead I get an error message:

Failed to Contact Authentication Server:
Could not connect to the authentication server. Please check your firewall settings.
(error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond)
"
I then went and completely disabled my windows firewall and I am still getting the same issue/error message.
1. Click the "Play!" button on uthgard.org to launch the game
2. Uthgard text-overlay comes up
3. Windows error pops up about the firewall logs
Honestly I am not sure how to fix this error. I saw a ticket created earlier for this exact same issue but it had been voted on and deemed "Invalid" But I am having the issue myself. The game has been working fine since it's launch on 1/6/2017.
if it makes a difference, I was playing earlier on 1/9/2017 around 7/8pm EST and then I got LD'd from the server. I went out and came back hours later and tried again just now and I am getting this error message.
I tried disabling my windows firewall and still get the same message.
