The shadowy gem from the level seven quest for nightshade does not work. The quest is called strange matters indeed.
1. Complete the level seven quest for nightshade.
2. Equip the reward shadowy gem
3. Notice it gives no bonuses saying this item fails to affect you
It should give blades+2, piercing+2, critical strike+2, and power+5%
