While XPing in Cursed Forest at the Finliath Camp, we noticed inconsistencies with XP earned in our group. While pulling a solo Finliath to test the mechanic we identified the following.
Please note this was a single pull to eliminate the BAF bonus, additionally there was no Camp Bonus.
Level 43 Druid - XP Earned 24.8m
Level 44 Druid - XP Earned 28.5m
Level 44 Ment - XP Earned 28.5
Level 46 Ench - XP Earned 23m
Level 45 Ench - XP Earned 24m
As you can see the XP did not scale vertically as it is intended to do. A level 45 should earn more XP then a level 43 if killing the same enemy. It appears after 44 the XP beings to scale down.
1. Kill Finliath with players ranging from 43 to 46
2. Note base XP differences
3. Confirm XP is supposed to scale vertically
XP should scale vertically based on level and XP tables should not be different based on below/above level 44. Suggest increasing base XP to scale vertically as intended above level 44.
As noted in my original description this is specific issue regarding XP scaling. I have not confirmed if it affects multiple mobs, or just the one tested. XP has always scaled vertically on DAOC.
Issue was invalid:
