The Brimstone Gloves that are categorized as chain only show 10% absorb on the stat screen.
1. Kill Brimstone (one time drop)
2. Check the gloves in your inventory

I looked at some old screenshots and the gloves should be giving 27% absorb. Perhaps they still are and the tool tip is just wrong.

You can see the stats as incorrect and i provided a screenshot of the correct stats.
