I wondered why the drops from Danaonian Farmer from Lyonesse salvage into arcanium and netherium while drops with the same level from Stonehenge Barrows salvage into asterite. this is an example of metal items, the same applies to wood, cloth and leather.
then i read the issue 2791, in which Nayru states:

No, my stance is: No item in classic ever yielded arcanium, so the values in the Telaran database for these specific items are too new for our setting. We linked to that database because it contains correct information for many items, but not for these.
If the salvage amount is correct and the relationship between price and salvage amount looks wrong, the only logical action would be to look at the price. THAT is common sense."

Specific drops:
Boots of the Severed Soul
Luminous Aqueous Coral Studded Vest
Luminous Aqueous Coral Studded Legs
Luminous Aqueous Coral Studded Helm
Gloves of the Severed Soul
Magus Battlestaff
i think this aplies to many items in Lyonesse.
1. Get any salvagable item from a Danaoian Farmer
2. Salvage it
3. Check the salvaged materials
Change all the listed drops into tier 8 (asterite, runed, ebonwood, nightshade).
In fact, change all drops in the game to that level (i don't know how easily this can be done - do we need to list every item that is wrong?).
