This was reported previous as "Issue 3531: Cannot complete kill task with pet" but was stated as being resolved on the issue tracker. However, as of February 9, 2017 at 6:30 AM US EST this problem has not been resolved. I was able to replicate this issue on my ice Theurgist. Pets getting the deathblow on a mob assigned for a kill task does not give credit to the player to complete the task.
1. Create an ice Theurgist
2. Pick up a kill task
3. Kill the mob assigned to the kill task using only ice pets
Pets getting the deathblow on a mob should still give credit to the player to complete the kill task.
This issue has previously been identified in the issue tracker. Previous pet behavior has, and always should, allow for Theurgist pets to get the deathblow on a kill task but give credit to the player in order to complete the kill task.
