Pets (charmed or spell from class) that can cast without any form of cooldown always end up walking a few units forward in between casts, ending in melee.
This can make fights more tedious than they should be, having to manually reset the pet once every fight.
1. make or charm a caster pet
2. make it help melee / you if you "tank"
3. pets ends up in melee while it should stay static
There's a slight delay in between pet casts that makes them stop being static and allow their automated /stick mechanic to kick in.
Removing the delay (adding a spell queue ?) or make the pets wait between casting and going in melee mode should fix it.
Just ask every pet class, watch a group in LB using Ellyls or cabalists with ruby .. i bet it's also the same on hibernia/midgard.
