Weapon Item Rewards are missing, you just recieve a Sparkly Gem (which you should). Inbetween you should be able to select a few Weapon Rewards.
1. Do the Quest
2. Get to the last step where you have to select [reward]
3. You should be able to select weapon items here, you will just get a "Sparkly Gem" which you can give to Gloom and get the Brooch
Rewards:
Glom's Tiny Brooch -> From the Sparkly Gem
2nd Rewards:
Mayhem 1H Pierce
Chaos 1H Slash
Havoc 1H Crush
Destruction 2H Slash
Bracer of Obstruction -- Casters
Confusion 2H Thrust
