The robes you get from your trainer in Camelot as friar(trainer gifts) are grey, but they should be brown, as they have always been.
1. Make a acolyte
2. Get to level 5
3. Join the Defenders of Albion as Friar in Camelot and receive the "Robes of the Novice"
Change the color of the robes of the novice and all upcoming trainer gitfs up to level 25 from grey to chocolate brown.
