Phaeghouls are supposed to drop quest item "thumb " for quest "The Touch of Amadan Duhb". They don't drop it. Tested on Phaeghouls in Cliffs of Moher, on both phaeghouls spawns south-west from Koalinth Caverns. Killed over 10 of them. No loot was gained, nor Thumb neither common loot.
1. Get quest "The Touch of Amadan Duhb" http://camelot.allakhazam.com/quests.html?cquest=415
2. Get to stage when Phaeghoul's thumb is required (loot may vary)
3. Kill Phaeghouls in Cliffs of Moher
