The dragon doesn't save state over server boots... Not yesterday and not today! I was standing just outside the lair yesterday watching the dragon. I logged out 5 minutes prior to shutdown. I logged back in 10 minutes after reboot and the dragon was not there. Today, my wife did the same test with the same results.
Mid dragon, of course, I have no data on the other realm's dragons.
1. Stand close to dragon lair
2. Log out just before reboot
3. Log back in and see that the dragon is no longer up
Save the dragon's state over a reboot. If it was up, it's still up. If it was down, it's still down.
Saw it two days in a row on two different accounts.
