The subquest "Returning to the Source" from the quest line "Returning for More" is blocked for me by a bug. I received a sealed note quest item from the NPC Reeni (Dye Merchant) and went to Innis Carthaig to speak to another NPC, who sent me back to Reeni. Upon returning to Reeni, a quest dialog popped up with a highlighted word, and nothing happened when I clicked on this word. I closed the text box to try again, and I only get the typical NPC dialogue instead of anything quest related. My quest journal for "Returning to the Source" now says "[Step #2] displaystep 2" and when I interact with Reeni I do not get any dialogue or indication that allows me to continue with the quest. As a result, I am at the end of the quest "Returning for More" and I am unable to complete it because of this.
1. Progress in the quest "Returning for More" until on the sub-quest "Returning to the Source"
2. Go to Innis Carthaig and back as the quest, Returning to the Source, instructs the player to do
3. Interact with the NPC Dye Merchant Reeni upon returning from Innis Carthaig and attempt to continue with the quest.
Correct the dialogue bug to allow the player to complete the "Returning to the Source" quest.
This is a bug because "displaystep 2" is surely not an intended quest dialog, this clearly indicates something with this quest is broken.
