Our Warden attempted to drop Thornweed Field while nearsighted. Thornweed Field was not used, but the 30 minute cooldown timer was activated. It seems to me that this would have to be a bug.

2. Attempt to drop Thornweed Field
3. Observe if the ability is activated and if it isn't observe the status of the cooldown timer.
If the Warden's ground target is not in range due to nearsight, the player should receive a message that the ground target is not in range and the cooldown timer should not be activated.
I don't have specific evidence that it's a bug, but it seems like, at the very least, an extremely unfortunate game mechanic. I'd have to believe that it's a bug. I appreciate you taking the time to look into it.
