It is a pity when I can go to Dartmoor kill a named mob who hardly ever drop a Level 51 weapon or armor and get one. I can then go to a merchant who will give me 50% more in gold for the item than the salvage and trinket sells for.
you have evidence that L51 metal items salvaged for 5/10/15 DIAMOND bars? I seriously doubt that.
with patch 1.70 or something like that, salvage tables were changed to standard 5/10/15, which was introduced with the rog items from SI. Before that change, high level items from old lands salvaged to asterite. Every item had is specific amount of metal bars/wooden boards. Pre-Toa is far away, but when i remember right, some weapons from dragon salvaged to ~150 asterite metal bars
lol Abydos. where is the Evidence for 15 ARKA bars ? why u implemented 15 Arkas bars.. and now After change they only drop 15 Dianond bars. .rofl !!!
plz tell how could u start with 15 Arkas.. than someone tells ni Arka bars in SH , after change it got 15 diamonds.. ther is no reason behind for me..
the BETTER way woudl be make doubled dia bars for it.. bnot the sam amount..
As an FYI to those who want to test this, looks like as of 1.18 Trial accounts cannot salvage. So somebody is going to have to use a Return to Camelot (or simply get a real account) to test this. http://darkageofcamelot.com/content/1118-live-patch-notes
You bring me no evidence at all
Meanwhile I have sources that say "these items use calculation" and I have evidence of calculation values.
What evidence are you bringing here?
(And yes, I've leveled 3-4 crafters to LGM on pendragon before just to test crafting stuff)
cause it is really convinient to level a salvager to 900+ each with a pendragon test acc and then look for single items...
Don't tell me a "simple" solution: Prove the values. Prove the calculation for said items, or, prove their salvage value. these classic items still exist
Tier 9/10 salvage was a bug, but level 50 items salvaging for the same monetary value as level 35 items is a bug replacing a bug. The amount of tier 8 materials you get should be higher for items over level 35. Farming greens was not the most efficient way to farm in classic DAoC.
A simple solution would be for items that were recently changed from tier 9/10 to salvage for more based on their level. If level 40/45/50 items salvaged for 1.5/2.0/2.5x the value of level 35 items then it would maintain a linear increase of salvage value based on level. Using a medium sized metal item as an example that would be 10 bars for 22g at level 35, 15 bars for 33g at level 40, 20 bars for 44g at level 45 and 25 bars for 55g at level 50. I think asking players to farm hundreds of items across the different realms to make salvage values not flatline after level 35 is a bit much. If one realm has a volunteer to do this but the other realms do not, then they would have a significant and unfair monetary advantage with items salvaging for over 50% more money for their realm.
items that do not have a defined value use calculation for valuation. If you can provide a valuation with evidence, we can apply it.
This is *per* item, so we need valuations per item, with evidence per item. Simply posting "scale hauberk" unfortunately is not nearly enough.
that is sadly true
Agree should give the corresponding amount of asterite lvl 51 items, not 5/10/15
