I have killed exclusively danoin clerks in lyonesse between the levels of 33.5 to 37 on my necromancer. In that time I have seen exactly six danoin poisons drop
1. look at the code
2. see if the drop rate on the item is lower that it should be

I don't know what a reasonable drop rate is. I do know in small case samples you can get bad RNG. I have killed the clerks for 35 bubbles and I feel the average drop rate has to have evened out. That means the rate is very slow.
Every other kill task seems to drop about 8-10 in the space of a level in the 30s. When you are in the mid 40s the rate seems to go 10-15. I am in the mid 30s for 3.5 levels and have only seen 6.
