there are two issues.
the one is the shift of the manamentalist from a dd and downtime-decreaser to a healer. i liked the pre 1.62 state where the curative trance line was a massive healthreg rather than a hot much more.
the second one is the hordes of focus pulling duos i already meet at the test server. it undermines classic groupplay and makes leveling much easier.
1. level a mentalist to ten.
2. cast curative trance on another char.
change the curative trance line to the old, pre 1.62 state.

if you want to call it a bug or "clever" use of game mechanics i would say that it helps to circumvent classic groupplay or the holy trinity.
