Upon level 5, I went to Warrior trainer in Jordheim. He offered me a gift, But clicking on highlighted text did not present gift in inventory.
1. Talk to warrior trainer at level 5, accept training from "House of Tyr". Gift bestowed next.

Gift should be received as intended. Other player/classes I spoke with received theirs.
Only evidence I have is that I don't have the item from the trainer that was offered. I relogged and talked to him again, and nothing.
