(Mis)fortune favors the bold. He who can keep up rent on a large number of lots takes a risk if they over extend themselves. However, to the victor go the spoils.

There's only one outcome from this and similar behavior: The economy improves for the poor.

The economy of each realm should be independent of the other realms. This type of behavior is causing an equalization of item prices across realms which is hurting those of us with a sense of realm loyalty.

Money is, and always has been, easier to farm in some realms. The prices on that realm reflect that. When these x-realming jokers come around and ruin the economy by transferring large amounts of plat around it effects everyone else. If it was one person doing it it wouldn't matter but it is becoming commonplace to move 50+plat across realms. Jesus - people even advertise plat x-fering services on the forum.

WTT X-realmers for Realm Loyalty - PST

All the GM's have to do is declare x-realm trading as against the rules instead of their "we won't stop you...but we won't support it" stance and problem will generally solve itself. It will send it underground and it would still happen (same as cash transactions and junk for accounts and plats still happen underground) BUT it would lift enough pressure off to allow the game mechanics to fix the economy over time...not to mention it would slow down the x-realmers. Atleast they would have to farm their plat and templates instead of farm on the easiest realm and move 100p...

Let's burden the GM's with more work!

Such rules would do nothing, even if it were made illegal it won't stop people from doing it - it will just stop people from publicly saying it. Account trading/selling became forbidden, thus you never see /trade spam about it anymore. But this appears to still occur on an underground level.

Such things will always occur as long as we're allowed to play all three realms.

However, to get slightly back on topic, definately not a fan of these players scouring the entrance zones to buy n' sell Housing Lots. The main issue is, as I've already stated, the Housing Informant NPC. Hopefully they change him in the future to be less descriptive!

I remember my first internet...misquoting people to push an agenda. Spoken like someone with a lot to lose by the creation of balanced system. I will /bow out of this conversation as it is going nowhere...

Misquoting? I paraphrased. A lot to lose? Nope. I prefer to keep my capital within each respective realm. It's rather a nuisance, and can be quite dangerous transferring plat/gear, so I don't do it.

Wise choice to dip out.

you dont get it.

before you flame, get more inforamtion:

hibernia: 8x 49/50 char with good gear, 5x LEG crafter, 3 houses in entrance, lots of money & items in merchant
albion: 2x 49/50 char with deluxe gear, 3 houses in entrance, lots of money & items in merchant

i am rich enough in both other realms, i dont need to export cheap midgard money. the ernings from house selling are reserved for raising legendary crafters here and to equip upcoming toons with good gear.
