A guild of old timers here thinkin about jumpin back on the saddle.
Wanted to see what Uthgards NA primetime pvp scene looks like? Would there be any 8mans running around? Is there decent competition? Is it worth bringing a whole team back to run NA primetime? Thanks for your input. |

There was some before Summer. Maybe it'll pick up afterwards. At the moment you can run down keep takers, kill them, then watch as they don't come back. Kill people in DF, etc. Right now you'd be better off playing during Euro primetime if you can.
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt [3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck

yep, but Im seing people come back now after the summer - see more Sanguine online. Most of them are US time, so I hope its a question of a month or so till it starts up a bit again: our US players are also slowly returning to game. But - as Austerim said: theres much more action on CET to early EST. Pacific timezone is really hard here.

Like most of you guys I am sure, we work
![]() We wouldnt be able to really run during EU primetime. Well keep checking. If any other 8man guilds interested in running NA primetime, wed be down for competing ![]() |

Nothing more to say... Like Holsten said in the other thread. Act like that and you will produce action |
|
there is like 800-1000 in EU primetime and sometimes u dont get more than 2 fgs to fight in emain... uthgard is pve-wonderland for whatever reason. ![]() |

The pvp action on uthgard isn't anything special. Most of the time you'll be running around fighting the same group over and over. People perfer to PvE on this server. When you have 800-1000 people on and only see 2-4 fg's running for the 8vs8 part, it's SAD! Rather just go back and grind some more xp while finding much better action in thidranki. But guess that's just a part of it ![]() |

There has been smallman rvr nightly for a few months. 4-6 man usually. Tonight mids decided to make 2 fgs to zerg down solos/duos so we got together 14 players and easily schooled them.
Depends on the day.

We were running 8mans nightly on hib before the summer(all US players) but it got to the point that we would have to keep take for hours to get anyone out.

Most US RvR action consists of:
- Wiping Keep-Takers - Wiping Guard-Taskers - Wiping Fronteir Mob Raids - Wiping XP'rs - Running in the Battlegrounds Very little of it is competitive RvR-US action currently. Most players / groups that have aspirations to RvR beyond Thidranki usually end up quitting due to lack of action and variety of enemies. As a US player myself, this is my experience: EST Zone [4 AM - 7 PM] : Consistent RvR action [8 PM - 1 AM] : Dead, PvE stuff . . . Note: RP Bonus for fighting in Emain (Complete waste since US players are usually in PvE / Raiding Zones, this bonus does not apply to Stealthers) Most enemies, as stated above, are Guard-Taskers/PvE'rs and want little-to-do with RvR. [2 AM - 6 AM] : Action picks up, mostly PuGs out. RP bonus still on, about the only time you can really utilize it. * On weekends, this does not apply. There is more stable action throughout the entire day, just less in volume. "It's not fair unless I'm winning!" |

I try to run 8 man on a nightly basis, but work has been getting in the way the past few weeks. This past weekend there was good 8 man action at US Primetime thru the night. So I would say yes, just gota keep comin out to bring the others
