On Live Piety effects the damage done my your instas and auras as well as Power Pool. I was told here that all Piety effects is your auras and Power Pool. +SR I would assume only affects resists. Curious to get a concrete answer from a Dev.

I think +SR should decrease your spells dmg variation too.

Anyone has an update on this one? What is the difference at e.g. RR4 between +0, +6 or +11 Soulrending from Items?
41 + 3 + 0 = 44 Soulrending
41 + 3 + 6 = 50 Soulrending
41 + 3 + 11 = 55 Soulrending

My current understanding from what I have read (not tested):

at 2/3 of your level magic spec, your spell damage output will be 75 to 125% of the spell’s base damage and at 100% of level magic spec; your spell damage output will be 100-150% of the spell’s base damage.

This progression of damage variance is relatively linear in that there are no large jumps in the variance at any particular level


I interpret this as from 34 SR (2/3 level magic spec at 50) to 50 SR (100% level magic spec), the minimum damage increases from 75% to 100% and the maximum damage increases from 125% to 150% relatively linear which result in 25% / (50 - 34) = 1.56% average damage bonus for each additional +1 Skill.

Additionally, it was noted from several player testings, that after 50 in a Magic Skill, the damage increases for 0.5% each.

Therefore, this would be the damage for the listed Skill levels:
90.6% to 140.6% (44 Soulrending)
100% to 150% (50 Soulrending)
102.5% to 152.5% (55 Soulrending)

Can anyone confirm this?
