Not taking credit for this just posting it from the old forum mostly so I can track it down myself later.

The option to trade out matter for body is also an option.

If you know german, I recommend this thread.. Same topic: How to level a sorc.

http://uthgard.net/index.php?option=com ... 10&t=21976

Here's the spec I recommended for solo lvling. I think you get the idea without translating the few german words in there..

Lvl 5 - Alles in Mind --> Mind 5/Matter 1 --> Pom1

Lvl 10 - Alles in Matter --> Mind 5/Matter 8 --> Dots, Dot-Varianz

Lvl 11 - Alles in Mind --> Mind 7/Matter 8 --> Charm 11-20

Lvl 19 - Alles in Matter - Mind 7/Matter 17 --> 16er Dot und erster Snare DD

Lvl 21 - Alles in Mind --> Mind 12/Matter 17 --> Charm 21-30

Lvl 23 - Alles in Mind --> Mind 15/Matter 17 --> Pom2

Lvl 29 - Alles in Matter --> Mind 15/Matter 24 --> 23er Dot und zweiter Snare DD

Level 32 - Alles in Mind --> Mind 20/Matter 24 --> Charm 31-40

Going on with Matter till 40, then respec to your desired Body/Mind-Specc..

In 1.65, do dots do full damage on higher level mobs? I think that was nerfed at some point (maybe).

Currently leveling as mind/body and lifetapping/dd'ing purps for 0-1 isn't exactly rewarding...

Got a 2nd mage created, I'm gonna try this for a few levels and see how it goes.

It does seem that dots do more damage against high purples than DDs do but I have pretty limited testing.

The matter/mind spec works great for solo leveling. If you plan to group all the way up stick with full mind. You bring POM and CC. Just base dot mobs not DD

Always liked the mind/body spec for leveling but that is just me. Keeping mind just high enough to have equal lev pets.

Do Cabalist dot and Sorcerer dot stack?

If Cabalist + cleric focus pulls, what will the Sorcerer' job be. PoM and dot mobs?

Lvl 11 - Alles in Mind --> Mind 7/Matter 8 --> Charm 11-20

The description of the charm sorcerer gets with 7 points in mind says, that this charm works for mobs up to lvl 15. In this guide it is said, that the charm should work for mobs up to lvl 20.

Is the description of the spell or the lvling guide wrong at this point?

Don't argue with idiots - they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Probably what you're looking for:

Guess you swap body with matter in the given spec.
