Sub-Pet behaviour as intented?

Before opening a bug report, I would like to discuss it here first:
1.) Pet is set passive: Sub-Pets don't stop casting and don't catch up (e.g. healer pet is under attack)
2.) Pet is set stay: Sub-Pets catch up to owner after performing a cast (seen with supp buffer after rebuffing)
3.) Pet is set defensive: Commander is not engaging in fight, when sub-pets getting hitten

Is that working as intented?!
