Uthgard 2.0 low RR shadowblade specs

That is indeed true, i remember the insane critblade dmg
i'll be starting mid as of tomorrow.. So i can figure some ****** out then. Leaving my alb chars behind.. No one tht i know still plays ![]() |

thanks for all the info guys.
so 44sw/39cs or vice versa? Sey - Healer
Swey - SB |

IMHO you only need composite 51 on weapon, composite 50 stealth/envenom, after this I will try to max CS and with higher RR start adding LA It's the thrill of the chase
and I'm coming after you. |
|
Highest damage output is if he max sword, so he doesn't 'only' need 51 comp in sword. 39+11CS is more than enough. At RR6 he'll be 34env, 34stealth, 39cs, 50sword, 4LA You don't see Warriors/Zerkers etc, going 39main weapon, rest shield or parry either, for obvious reasons ![]() CS doesn't scale off LA at all, but it does scale off your main weapon. Max that big sword of yours, out... You'll hit like a truck. |

I cant really see the point why 50sword should max dmg done with cs styles? correct me pls if iam not right in some point: Unstyled dmg cap: Damage Cap = DPS * SPD * 3 * (1 + (SPD 2) * .03) For example, if one has a 16.5DPS weapon that is 3.0SPD, the damage cap will look like: 16.5 * 3.0 * 3 * (1 + (3 2) * .03) 16.5 * 3.0 * 3 * 1.03 = 152.955 damage cap And now styledmg: ((Growth Rate * Specced line) * Effective Speed) / Unstyled Damage Cap Formula effective speed: Effective Speed = SPD * ( 1 – ( Quickness – 60 ) / 500) ) So non of these formulas which determine your dmg includes Swordskill if you use cs styles The fact that warris skill 50weapon is that they use the styles of this weaponline ... as critblade i dont use any swordstyles ... so dmg cap should be on 50cs and composit 50 weapon Or am i wrong in some point? |
|
Even is this formula is true, you still gain weapskill from more main weap spec. More weap skill means less evades/parry/block from the enemy.
A couple specs I am thinking about: 44 cs 44 weap 34/34(comp @rr5) and 12 LA. or 44 cs 43 weap 31 venom(second best dot at rr3 and best debuff at rr5) 34 stealth and 21 la. |
|
And i doubt that you got a level 50 SB on uthgard (or even play in midgard). Seems like you either play alb or hib and try to get some easy RPs by trolling all those SBs. ![]() |
|
Test it. Beside what Wellzy says is correct, you need that weaponskill |
|
RR5 gets only +4 all skills, so you need RR6 to get 50 stealth/envenom Sent from mobile device <Kavar Grunas Bar> - Midgard
For the old ones among us: formerly Avalon/Mid <Frostbringer> (2002-2004) |

when respec stones are more readily available I will test what you are saying...but curious...why do you think CS styles are exempt from the LA damage calculation/modifier? ...if I were to guess: I would say you are incorrect on LA skill effecting mainhand damage...and that it is in fact effecting it...there would be some compensation from the higher CS styles tho and maybe that is why you have a perceived notion that it doesn't effect it...but I am just speculating...it should be tested...and tests on blue con mobs is NOT a reliable test :p Last edited by Access on Mar 15, 2017 21:47, edited 1 time in total.

Do you get +sword skill if you're at 50 sword?
Do you need +CS skill? Is there a reason to get 51 instead of 50 composite? How much stealth skill total? Fast offhand or slow offhand? Is swing speed the average of both weapons or just main hand speed? |
|
Hi th0msdk, You said RR2 : 38/38/39/44. That mean, 38 env, 38 stealth, 39 CS, 44 weapon ? I'm right ? thks |
|
Could also mean 38 Stealth / 38 Envenom / 39 Sword / 44 CS / rest LA
44 Weapon gives you basicly nothing beside WS and 44 CS gives you the third style of the evade combo. Last edited by Exercia Devoras on Mar 23, 2017 15:06, edited 1 time in total.

I just tested the theory of this guy who claims that you need no LA a bit.
Im lvl 31 with 31 LA and 31 Sword right now. if i attack a grey mob without a Left Axe i deal 100 dmg unstyled. If i equip the Left Axe it goes down to 74dmg. Thats a 25% penalty on mainhand base dmg. I do not know how the left axe penalty works in detail. I have 31+2 LA this means i capped LA on my level. is the penalty determined on how close you are to your actual maximum possible LA cap or does it count to lvl 50 and above? I can not see a valid argument, that LA penalty does not exist for mainhand. CS Styles might have a high growth rate, but it requires some good math, on what is the difference between for example 39 LA 34 CS 38 Sword, or 44 Sword 39 CS and 12 LA. Either you can do some good math or you have alot of respec stones. None of this is my strength ![]() Exercia - RR11 - Shadowblade - Lyonesse/Midgard
