From what I heard, in this Patch, the Setups that will run in 8v8 RvR have much more Caster than the previous Uthgard where was mainly dominated by Melee Classes...

With this in mind, the Animist if used correctly with Root Pets and with Bomber (DD) with the highest damage of the Game, is possible and usefull using one in a Group?

Dunno, normally there are "Classes that not work well in this current Patch", an example are hybrid like ValeWalker/Thane/Reaver that don't have the RA Determination, so are not well accepted much times in Group, compared to BM/Berserk/Mercenary...

Maybe Animist is a Class like these Hybrids or maybe like the Bonedancer, that is a good Class itself but you can have a better use of that Group Slot, so not competitive in a Min/Max enviroment...

Well, animists suit in a caster group, as you'll have to kite a lot and the tanglers will do wonders in that scenario. Probably not the best damage output from the bombers though, as both alb and mid will have body resistances (cleric/healer), but still a nice "surprise factor" as they will have to travel to the target, usually meaning that they will all deal a sudden burst of damage that's unexpected.

Animists will not be highly sought after in RvR unless you build a group around debuffing for them, which doesn't seem realistic. Animists shine in PvE and keep defense, but for 8v8 roaming don't count on people seeking you out to join their group. They are much in the position of tanks, where we need animists for PvE, but not heavily for RvR while we need tanks for RvR, but not heavily for PvE since we have chanters/animists.

We have great nuke potential, but bring very little utility to a group and currently our DD bombers are bugged and not doing proper damage (high variance + unaffected by int/spec line). Tanglers can be good, but could also totally screw you over by randomly rooting somebody and putting them on CC immunity when it isn't necessary. Other than that we animists shine when we can drop a boat load of shrooms in one spot and force the enemy to come to us
Hib - Falken (BM) / Sneakster (NS) / Kalfen (Enchanter) - Currently Inactive

Alb - Djfalken (Minstrel) - Inactive

Mid - Tooeasynothanks

Bombers are affected in INT now ?

Animists already good for 8v8 ?

Or still wasted slot ?

On Salisbury we played with Druid,Druid,Bard,Bard,BM,BM;Fian Ani.
Ani Arboreal Spec and it works really fine. So don´t believe the Guys who said Ani isn´t working in melee Groups.
A well played Animist can be the nightmare for most of the Groups u are Meeting. :D
