Pathfinding at level and high Pierce. Auto Training bow.
Celt Bow still does good damage. Pathfinding buffs are starting to really help At 23 now and just chain pulling yellow sprags. Ojs are no problem if Crit shot lands... for the most part. Looking forward to level 25 with evade 3 and pierce stun off evade. |

To Follow up, level 25 is anotehr big step for melee ranger. Evade 3 along with pathfinding dex/qui makes me evade alot . I went ahead and got the lvl 25 pierce stun style and it is very effective, 5sec stun and hits hard, also allows me to do the rear style back chain.
I can kill yellows with no health downtime now, just have sit to regain endo after a couple kills. So far I am really liking ranger. I know See Hidden will make RVR life tough but i am making alot of NS friends to be my body guards and bait for them. I also plan on going for dodger 3 right away to make me live longer and return more damage |

I'm doing Nightshade. At level 24 she has max poison and pierce and yellow gear. Evade 4 doesn't come till level 30.
She can solo the yellow con Saplings south of the Parth farm in Connacht. I'm taking more damage than you are, however. The health and endurance hit 100% about the same time so the downtime isn't too bad. I'm guessing the difference is the Pathfinding buffs. Where can I find some solo-friendly yellow con mobs that are not resistant to pierce? The trees get a bonus against my pokers. I'm not a fan of the Spraggon Den. I've been dropped from groups without even a word so they can pick up a better group friendly class. |

I do open with bow crit shot and usually most of my targets are half dead before i engage in melee.
Well at level 24 you could solo most sprags in spraggon den since they are yellow and get decnd gear drops. Thats what i have been doing and enjoying it or duoing with NSs. I did notice that yellow to lvl 24/25 stuff is on the other side of the lake from howth and north a bit or across from the fishing bear island. Silvermine badgers, spragonites, and walking rocks were all yellow when i went over there to do a quest from howth. Also if you go to Innis Carth by horse and come back the way you came on path into the big trees there are yellow lepricauns, and rats. Also some stuff our level heading towards Sherrie Hills from Innis Carth. Personally i prefer to solo in Sprag Den because of gear drops and stuff to salvage to help me raise craft skills |

Wow that really suck, I've had some shadow blades in group, altho not many, but I've never seen one getting kicked. |

It's not the end of the world. I've met a few Nightshades and Rangers near my level. We're all slowly chugging along. |

What kind of gear are you using? Bow specifically? The best arrows? That seemed to make all the difference in beta.
ie if you can afford the best arrows and have 99 qu bow you are good. If not, you are in bad shape. |

How much difference does 95 to 99% on quality really make?
