I know this is a very noob question, but in my years of playing DAOC I never found out :-\

What does having a bigger shield do for you? Like medium vs small. Does it just increase blocking chance or what?

Shield size influences your blocking chance by increasing the number of opponents you can face: small = 1, medium = 2, large = 3. However, note that you opponents have to be in a frontal arc (iirc, it's 120°). More attackers significantly reduce your chance to block.
Happy hunting!

The endu costs of all styles depend on the speed of you weapon. Higher swingspeed, lower costs. Larg shields swing lower then small ones. So each swing costs you more. But the endurance cost/time should be the same.
