I read on a nightshade forum that stealth has no effect past 50. I didnt know if that applied here or not. Could someone please let me know? :)

Your stealthlevel makes you invisible for everything(except special mobs/players) below your stealthskill. So, if youve got about 100, there wont be a mob, beeing able to destealth you.
Max player level is 50, so you dont need to spec more then 50 stealth, to make shure not to be seen by normal players.

I thought being seen by other players depends on your skill and thier stealth skill, not levels.

That wasnt what I was asking anyway. I meant it said there was no benefit past 50 stealth, as in it doesnt add to your detection, or being seen.

The benefit is really small and potentially decreases with further enhancement of the stealth skill. It does have an effect on your stealthed speed, as I noticed from trying out a stealth 255 character on my homeserver ;) but it isn't worth the cost - I cannot recommend speccing past 40 Stealth (Safe Fall IV).

The answer to the question, How high should I spec stealth, is quite easy. On level 50 you need 50 including RRs and Items. So on RR3 you better take 37 (+11 + 2). This will give you the best cover against level 50 players. You can specc higher, if you want to cover from mobs. But due to the fact most assassins consider RvR as endgame, they just need 50 combined because level 50 ist the player maximum.
The speed bonus is nice to have, but with 50 combined stealth and mosX you will be pretty fast anyway.

as a pro infil (=P) i can suggest u to make your stealth to 50.3 Reasons for it.

First; More stealth makes u faster while in stealth.
Second; Players cant saw u if u dont stand near them for long.
Third; While hunting down ppl at DF, better to be not get recovered by mobs before ataking your target.

BUT, if u target rvr,and ur a fast rp gainer, i suggest u to give 35 point max. to your stealth.Get your +11 from equip, so u got 46.Now u need to be rr5, but while rr2 get mos1.After mos1 u feel pretty swift as lvl 50 stealth and it will teach u how to challange with your assasin. When u hit RR5, probably u need to get mos3 and u hit 50 stealth. And your past experiance makes u a skilled assasin =) If u know (or learn) how to use your assasin class, u even need to hit lvl 50 =) trust me, life is easy if ur a good paer =))

I made a few builds to test out on a PvP server. I think Im planning on 37 spec stealth because it might take me a while to get RR5. I guess I can always respec whenever I get higher RR's right? :)

Sure you can, as long as you have /respec available at your trainer. But I think we can buy respec at DF now, am I wrong? 180 diamdonds though...
