Hey, Ive been searching on the forums and I cant see any topics that relate to mine. What my problem is, is that I can connect to Uthgard fine.. I get to the realm list, I can create a character, and this morning I was able to play the character that I made, but now when I try to connect it shows the loading screen for the place im going to, but then it goes to black screen with the music still going, then it gives me a dont send error. Ive tried everything I can think of.. I WAS able to play it fine this morning, and now I cant. :(

ok.. here we go..
only got 1 mail

i use Geforce fx5500 so u prolly need some other drivers if u dont use the same

Hello Christian,(me:P)

I think I spoke to your friend earlier on the phone actually. First I'll link
those drivers for you directly.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.html

So the next step is easy. You can download DirectX 9.0c from
http://www.microsoft.com .
-Click on Downloads under "Product Resources"
-Click on the link for Directx under the section Download Categories
-Click on the Directx 9.0c end user run time
-On the center of the page click on the continue button
-follow the instructions to install the program

After that if it's still not working go ahead and fire back the following
information for me.

In order for us to further assist you, we will need you to provide us with the
following information:

What kind of internet connection are you using? Is the connection networked in
any way? Are you using a software firewall? Are you using a custom UI? If so
which?

Also, please include the following in your reply:

A) Your DXDIAG.TXT file. This shows us a snapshot of your system with specific
driver versions included. Often times outdated or incorrect drivers are to
blame for various video, sound and connectivity issues in DAoC and this file
will help us see what hardware your system currently has installed as well as
the drivers associated with that hardware.
Click on the Windows start button
Click on the run box
Now type DXDIAG. Then hit Enter.
The diagnostics window will be loaded and you will see your current version
of DirectX. Now go to "Save All Information" tab, save the file as DXDiag.txt
somewhere you can find it again on your hard drive, and attach that text file to
your email you send us back with.

B) A list of any items located in your system's STARTUP. DAoC is extremely
sensitive to programs running in the background. Ending task on them prior to
loading DAoC does not shut down all programs however they can be disabled from
this menu. By sending us this list we can recommend to you which items to
uncheck therefore eliminating possible causes for your issue.
Gathering STARTUP info
Click START
Run
Type: MSCONFIG
Press ENTER
Click the STARTUP tab
Please manually list all CHECKED items on this tab.

IF it's related to your graphics you may want to try omega drives, it's a tweaked version of the official drivers, dont ask me how it all works but i've been using them for over a year now on 3 different gfx cards (ati radeon 9000 mobility, ati radeon dont ask me which one it's my dad's and my latest: ati radeon x1900xt) they also have drivers for nvidia and most commonly used manufacturers. you might want to give it a try.

little warning ahead, try to uninstall the current driver before installing the new, since they often use older versions to fix problems in newer drivers. it's not that it's a big deal, but if you dont pay some attention during installation you might end up doing things over and over again before you get it right :)
