Ok, I am having trouble connecting to the Uthgard server. I followed the steps indicated.
1. Change your update.dat

I did this part, since I only have the classic client.
2. I started camelot.exe and it updated itself.
3. At this point I was at version 1.85 Catacombs.
4. I downloaded the freeshard launcher and changed it as the readme/and the connect file told me to do it. Heres what the connect file says:

Now after ive done this, when I try to start Connect or Dolloader.
It says "The game file was not found, please Check the first parameter!"
Okay so I assumed i made a mistake in the connect file, so i went back and tried alot of things.ex: taking out quotations,taking out borders. etc.
I tried this both ways, because I actually had the game,installed it. Then after it didnt work their i downloaded it, and followed the same steps, but yet it still had the same error.

Please get back to me quickly ive been trying for two days to do this!

connect.bat and DOLLoader.exe should be in same folder as the game.dll

u only need the last line of connect.bat

eg

@DOLLoader "<path of game>/game.dll" 89.238.64.166 10300 <accname> <password>

content to be changed according to your installation path and account data has been marked with "<" content ">"

1. Where do you installed the DOLLoader?

- in your Daoc Folder?

@DOLLoader game.dll 89.238.64.166 10300 20 YourAccountName YourPassword

- in a seperate Folder?

@DOLLoader "C:\games\daoc\game.dll" 89.238.64.166 10300 20 YourAccountName YourPassword

( "..." - if you have a space in your FolderName)



2. You have to edit the right IP

@DOLLoader C:\games\daoc\game.dll 89.238.64.166 10300 20 YourAccountName YourPassword



3. You have to choose an Accountname and a Password (autocreate... so its your own choise)

@DOLLoader C:\games\daoc\game.dll 89.238.64.166 10300 20 YourAccountName YourPassword


If there is a problem like 'Your Password is not correct', the Accountname exists and you have to choose a different AccountName.


Another possibility to connect to Uthgard is Metty's Launcher. (I like it )

calin,just look up what he posted..prob is simply, [...] read whats written in the connect.bat. he shall edit the stuff DOWN,not the first line. he edited the first line,not the last.
