I apologize if this type of thread is forbidden. I've read the rules when starting, and I generally refer to the rules before acting on certain guild-related matters, but I did not see anything forbidding this thread. There is a rule against advertising, but it has a clause stating that if it's for Uthgard, that it is allowed. Which brings me to my question...

Would the Uthgard GM's condemn a realm-specific forum ran by a realm-member?

My reasoning is that any realm can just view your forums, however a realm-specific forum would allow for players to in-game check new members on the forum, giving them access to the raids/events for that realm. This would limit certain lower levels of course, but it would also prevent cross-realm spying for realm-sieges. The idea is not original, and my inspiration to do it goes back to my time on the Tintagel cluster. We had a Hibernian forum where officers of the forum would have to meet a player in-game before giving access.

Link to Hibernia Tintagel.

Realizing, of course, that this may interfere with Uthgard's overall goal, I would be willing, of course, to grant a GM or 2 from Uthgard access to Moderator rights on the forum.

Thank you for taking time to read this.

I figured that Midgard/Albion would have something like that already, but I wasn't sure about Hibernia. The way it stands is my belief remains no. Hard to say, but if I had to, I'd say Hibernia is the underdog, a forum like this would be something to set us apart.

Hi.

Like Shien said, there is already a Hibernia Forum - of cause non-supported by staff - so we can't say - THIS - is the Hibernian Forum.

Well ... it would be stupid to make two.. ^^

I haven't built it yet, I don't generally even design something until I know if it's needed or not, and if it is: I only take 1 day max to design / and create sites/forums. The problem with your forum is that it's 100% German. Please contact me in PM's, and we'll talk more. I have a weird feeling this will be locked soon.

Mhm, it's not 100 % Percent german. There are already English players registred, and the subtitles are in English. The important threads are also written in english and german.

The Problem is: While the Community is mostly german, the main language will be german.

Sincerly

Welcome to Hibernia? Psh. My guild, and I, have been around for a month, and probably hold the most hatred for our own realm. Being the underdog realm, with nothing to help us out, and last to gain new updates. We've considered leaving multiple times... Anyway, we've decided to cut off circulation to our logical thinking areas of the brain and grind grind grind.
