Make him into a regular NPC merchant where players can put items, please. I'm sick and tired of having to run back and forth from exping and him just because someone overbid me by 1 copper, sick of waiting for 40+ hrs just to get some item I need for template because someone's greedy and want as much money as possible. If it was a NPC merchant, just put whatever price you think is fair, what you would consider paying for the item. If everyone keeps this in mind, everyone will benefit.

Please don't remove the poll, admins/mods/whatever.

than set your offer from beginning way higher...

eg: the items price is 500 gold and you want it....than offer 1p if its very important.

that doesnt mean you have to pay 1p in the end...
if someone bids like 700 gold in the time your off-line/leveling far away, than your bid automaticly raise to 700g 1c
if noone else bid further you pay in the end the 700g 1c. the remaining 299g 99c you get back with the item when the auction is done.

but i want such NPC-merchant like you mentored about aswell.
i miss my Lady....

These kind of merchants will probably be added to housing zones someday. I'm afraid that there are no plans on changing the auctioneers any time soon...
Happy hunting!

What you mention is the market system in the housing zones. Currently the auctioneers are a bit unergonomic so to say but Mythic will soon introduce an auction system that we can use then. Will be similar like in WoW I guess.

Auction System needs work to be complete and full functional. This is the only sure. Maybe a Realm global buy/auction system is the best, but it needs hard work at coding. Needs patience. Maybe a wow-like auction/buy system is good enough. I have see it at a friend's account and it seems good enough (for sure better than auctioners now - Without to want decrease the work of them, but they are at the beginning yet). I haven't test it by myself, but it seems nice.

Player's Mechants have always the possibility your quality products never be seen by other players. This is the problem and noone wants to run to markets to find your selling items. They prefer capital towns that everything is stored there.

Out Of Topic: Blue. When I am entering at the capital town, the game is lagging like hell. There is any issue with graphics there or maybe auctioner is cause those lags? Is the only place that I lag deathly.

Capitals have much better graphics and more details than the other zones, not to mention the mass of npcs there. This is what makes you lag, not the auctioneer script.

I am trying to give the blame to graphics load, many npcs etc. but I tend to believe that is something else. Perphaps is 1.89 causing this mess. Before 1.89 was normal (low lag from items loading). Now is huge. The most strange is that I don't move and starting change directions at the wrong side. I can't exclude auctioneer's script even it is guiltless. Is just a thought. The problem is that yesterday night we had extreme huge lags (I could see my text displayed after 5 mins, lol?) and finally we got mass ld (or server restarts - To be honest, I abandoned the pc during the lags and when I come back I got ld). After this, I think is normal to make those thoughts.

i agree, i think though hat it would be good to introduce the new market system when it comes out and keep the auctioneers, though the inbetween part is going to be a little tough for those who dont like te auctioneers.

I guess keeping Auctioneer is a good idea for certain items that are in high demand like respec stones etc. As long as I get to see the future NPC player item merchant, I'm happy. :-)
