Hi Blue,

I am messaging you about my issue as I can't find a suitable place to post it in the forum - maybe I'm being silly or maybe I didn't look hard enough! Smile

I have downloaded the DAoC portal, and followed all of the steps on the tutorial thread for connecting to Uthgard server. My update.dat file is correct and my DAoC Portal is located in the daoc folder, as asked.

I am using the Darkness Rising expansion and everything in my File > Settings .. of DAoC Portal is correct. However, when I enter my logon credentials onto the panel, and click 'Play!' the DAoC opens and runs. This is all fine and it's all going well, it starts the loading scren (red Darkness Rising background and pictures, with a loading bar at the bottom).

It loads fine all the way up to 85/90/95% and then it stops. It still says that it is Loading ... but it just stays at 85/90/95% every time. I have now tried it 4 times and it has stopped everytime! I even left it for 30minutes just now and I got no progress.

I am using the latest version of DAoCPortal and the latest patch of DAoC & DR. I really am stuck, and I really am looking forward to playing!

Is there any help, advice you can give me? Do I need to specify more information?

Thank you! Errm, I haven't tried since because it just seems to be a waste of time. I have asked in IRC, I was told to try connecting to a different server and it might be a port issue ... I get to the same place though.

deactivate your firewall and try again?(same for windows firewall, antivir, router firewall)

Okay mate, thank you - I will try this out, but thanks for the response and the advice!

as i tried to help u on irc aswell....well....if this dont work what danger told u,try a full uninstall and reinstall a different version tottaly new....dno thats all i can think of^^
