Connecting and Obtaining the proper version (US)

Hey guys,

So I downloaded the 14 day trial and the ToA expansion both US versions, than I installed them. And now i am at a loss of how to connect. I know I can't update to 1.94 through the US patcher, but when I tried copying the .dat file locations, the client freezes. Any help?
