I always wondered why it felt like 45% parry on the savage didnt do anything against stealthers. Now I guess I know why.

Problem with parry though is that it counts dual wielders as two attackes yet according to mythic, parry isn't suppose to suffer a penelty to dual wielders...so in effect parry gets a 50% penelty to 2h and dual wield...so only real effect you have is on shield users and vampiirs..

2nd. PA has a fixed formula for damage, that depends on the cs-spec + 1 base swing. So you only get the variation between a slower and/or a quicker weapon(in case you do not change your cs spec).
Hey ratard! I said for yourself, read before you reply.

Cannot test this on live, since the behaviour has changed completely in 1.87.

It's written r Etard you retard!
OK back to topic: You can still test it because 2 attackers still halve parry. I don't really think counting dual wielders as 2 attackers makes sense but who knows.
Still there shouldn't be anything lowering the parry against dual wielders in the parry formula.

ya, parry should not be lowered by DW, and a DWer is not 2 attackers, its 1 attacker DWing.
Otherwise my savage is 4 attackers.
Also, this would impact small shields right? If a DWer was 2 attackers small shields should be worthless against them.

Ill help you out with another quote, since youre much too lazy to read past first page. Satz wrote:No defskill has a bonus when facing any enemy(beside lower level). Aswell as evade and parry cap at 50%. Most classes that can spec parry actually do reach 50% quite easy...
Ill logic... If parry would have a bonus when facing dual wielders, why shouldnt block or evade have a bonus when facing 2h, then?
No patchnote states anything about removing that bonus, so go check live now, if you encounter some kind of valid bonus, it should get implemented then.

I am not sure if parry has a cap. Do you have any references to that?

Woah this is a big one.
Dual wield should NOT halve parry, this is a serious nerf to all tank classes vs. stealthers.
Dual wield halves: evade, block
Two-handed halves: parry
This is how it worked back when I played.
Toblerone wrote:In fact, evade has the same bonus vs 2h that parry has vs dual wielders. 2h in itself also had a small bonus increase to parry chance. This is old research, I remember it from before SI. Unfortunately I doubt we could find any data on it ^^
I doubt there ever was any data to confirm this. There were never any bonuses involved. Just penalties.

This wont change much because parry classes cap parry already with spec+dex. And giving bonus to 2h doesnt help them pass 50% anyway.

Hybrids will still benefit from this fix a lot.

That would explain why I guard so much better with the large shield, even against only one attacker

this is not so simple. you may cap your base parry %, but it is heavily affected by WS, or, to be more specific, by enemy STR and weapon skill level
