Greetings,

Blocked 2 days long from 45 to 47 because the 45th ench epic was bugged (neither day steeds nor Cadoc would spawn), i asked Gnome if he could fix this which he immediately did, and which i'm really grateful for. I could so finally talk to Cadoc and proceed to the next step which is killing him in his Darkmare form. Problem is, that before this fix i killed the Darkmare few times (was running along the river several times) but since then, didn't see it anymore in 6 nights now... Roamed along the river, wait at the spawn point also, no Darkmare, only dark steeds coming out. =(

Tried to join several GMs on IRC yesterday night and this morning /appeal + asked in IRC but no answer yet, maybe sleeping time idk. I hope this will be fix soon, as we need both the exp as the rewards of these epic steps... And as long 45th is not closed, i can't start the 47th. No fun.

So, i did a few research to be sure about this quest, as my memory of it is really not the best. ^^

In this description/version, they say to kill both sets of steeds (day and dark steeds) to make spawn Cadoc then kill him to get the half stone, but it wasn't so as i did it on Uthgard, and as u can read in the comments, even on live it wasn't necessary to kill anybody/anything at this point. Anyway, simply went to the loc once the issue was fixed (day time) and Cadoc spawned as he should on the rock : talked to him, says he don't has the stone, and u're forwarded to the next step which says :

[Step #9] Cadoc doesn't have the stone. He runs the river with his dark steeds at night, not as man but as the beast named Darkmare!

So. I spent now 3 nights ig with 3 other players on this quest, 2 nights roaming the river from North to South and South to North, till both entrance/spawn points without seeing any Darkmare (http://camelot.allakhazam.com/db/search.html?cmob=12170), killing all steeds we saw, and 1 ig night waiting at the North Spawn for the same result. As i could't get any answer from the GMs in IRC, i have up last night at 3:43AM, after having wait 2 nights more alone at the North Spawn, as my group gave up. Today, as i logged in, i spent again 2 ig nights running along the river, and 2 at the North Spawn without better results, and another pal came and stay one night there with me too.

Now, i got an answer from Gnome saying that the Darkmare was on a normal spawn cycle, being a night spawn mob and that maybe somebody had already killed him... Well, let me count and resume : i was now on the original spawn point (where steeds and Darkmare are coming out, at the rocks at the end of the river in North of the map) for 5 nights, and roamed along the river alone and in grp for 4 nights too and didn't see any Darkmare (i did tho, 2 days ago and killed it several times with a menta pal, that was before this step). So, allow me to doubt that anybody (a ninja maybe ? ) could have kill this mob without me noticing it, as i was at the spawn point. IF -by any chance- it would have been killed, he should have respawn, and by standing today 2 nights in a row at the spot waiting and counting the sheeps... err, i meant the dark steeds, i would certainly have see it.

This said, i would be really grateful if we could have a fix on this instead, as i already had to wait lvl 47 to get the 45th step fixed, please devs, we need both the exp as well as the rewards, considering the missing SI and its drops.

But as it's only the word of the little Kohi trying to get advanced with his epic quests, let me show u the last night serie of screenshots from what was spawning out of this North Spawn, so u can see by yourself there as not any Darkmare spawn running with the steeds (watch the clock and date in each image) :

Ive made an issue now. It cant be that hard to make this quest work.
Every step was bugged now....

I saw Darkmare in the river, 2 days ago.

Yeah, 2 days ago i saw him too ^^ killed him also several times. But this was 'before' the fix of the previous step which was ... also bugged.

Good thing, thx. I didn't want to, as i already informed Gnome about it which meant everything was fine with the mob.

Grz ^^ Now let's see if it will respawn ? Not logged in, if somebody see it plz tell us.

It spawned like 5 to 6 times in a row. Had to go to work then ;p

Confirmed, fixed. =) Could finally achieve this 45th step (now that i'm 47 lol).
Now i wonder about a thing : quest log says to talk with Brigid (47th step on Allhakazam : http://camelot.allakhazam.com/quests.html?realm=Hibernia&cquest=341) but when i was there she said i'm not strong enough yet, must come back later (when i'm 50? ). -.-
