I've appealed this yesterday and Abydos had told me it was not intentional, then went silent. It would appear that the instant potions that require enriched quicksilver to make are now on 180 seconds re-use timers(at least it's so for instant power potions), same for draughts of instant power. Is this working as intended, did the re-use timer get mixed up with the totems or what?

Yes the instant potions are on 3min re-use and only these.

Any special reason behind this? I mean it's still a potion, it's not a totem. Also, I hope you understand/remember that on uthgard1 we had alchemy loot dropping in stacks of 5, here we get only 1 and enriched quicksilver happens to be the rarest one(other than the lich tooth and brain fluid that nobody uses), so it's not exactly easy to farm. Anyone farming it pretty much has no use for it now, because of the 3 min re-use.

Ok I've read the reference but it's one of those things that don't work in the practical world. Basically, enriched quicksilver now becomes completely useless. Thanks for clarification though :D.

As the name implies the instant potions do not have a cast time and therefore do not impede abilities like the other potions you can immediately swing or cast. This is how they are designed.

I'm well aware of that and I'm not complaining. Is this is how it is, cool. However, I'm just saying that the enriched quicksilver which is hard to farm is now of no practical use. Nobody will risk a 3 min re-use timer in rvr. In my opinion, just the fact that alchemy drops are not as easy to farm as on uthgard1 should make it so all pots are on 1 min re-use timer, regardless whether they're instant or not. The logic behind it would be that everyone can get normal power pots cheap but if you want the stuff that's a little bit better, either spend time farming ingredients or making money so you can buy them, it's not game breaking anyway so it's not as though money gives you some crazy advantage.

Anyhow, thanks for the feedback on it. Gonna stick to regular pots since instant ones are useless.

I would still maintain they are not useless, they are for a different situation. Being able to use a potion then instantly cast or attack can be the difference between winning and losing, life and death.
